EN: Even if you have sent protest messages, don’t forget to leave a message of solidarity to Maryam and Marzieh. Yes, they were released on November 18 after 259 days in detention, but they STILL face charges for propagation of Christianity and apostasy from Islam. They are also in poor health.

We were surprised to learn that two women, the 27-year old Maryam Rostampour and the 30 year old Marzieh Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad are being held in prison in Tehran since March 2009 and are sentenced to death because they left Islam and converted to Christianity.
The news has already spread rapidly on the Internet and has caused many negative comments about your country.
We are uniting our voices to that of Sabatina James and many other known and unknown activists and ordinary people, both Greeks and foreigners, demanding that human rights be respected and Maryam Rostampour and Marzieh Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad be released immediately.

We were so relieved to learn that Maryam Rostampour and Marzieh Esmaielabad were released from the infamous Evin prison. We were also happy to hear that the absolutely irrational anti-state charges against them were dropped.

It is a shame that these two ladies remained 259 days in detention without access to appropriate medical care. Because of this inhuman treatment, they are in very poor health. We hope that their health will be fully restored, and we expect and demand that both of them be judged fairly, with respect for human rights! In fact, we believe that both of them, as well as their families, should be compensated for all their inexcusable suffering!

It will be quite gratifying to see the Iranian judicial system treat Maryam and Marzieh fairly, proving that Iran fully respects Article 18 (1) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) to which it is a state party. According to this article, “Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. This right shall include freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice, and freedom, either individually or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching.”»

I require to halt pursuit of Mariam Rostampur and Marziekh Ezmeilambad on a religious sign! We in our country do not pursue people which confession is heard the islam. They freely pray and build mosques, although we live in a christian country. Really do the citizens of Iran have no authority to profess a faith which they consider true?

Stop unjust shariah law and let Maryam and Marzieh free.

If Christians were killed for converting to Islam, the Shiite would cry out and invoke the human rights of these convertes. However, if a muslim leaves Islam, they feal no guilt in killing them. They are the true hypocrites, because they refuse to apply the same laws onto themselves that they apply onto others. This is the very definition of injustice...

Surely God won't leave the Iranian government unpunished if they go on to execute Meryem Rostampour and Marieh Amirizadeh Esmailabad. Really it is not these two saints that are in danger, for they doubtlessly await the glory of Resurrection, rejoicing in the Lord. Iran with its government is in danger, for the Lord will leave no stone unturned in the country partaking of the blood of His children. Remember A.D.70.

I can't believe the situation the 2 women are.
There are no words to express my disappointment for the human race. Not even the animals behave like that.
What those people in Iran and other Islamic countries would say if the Cristian Countries followed the the same behavior to non Cristian inhabitants in their countries?
